Pressure sensors are essential devices for measuring the pressure of liquids, gaseous media, including aggressive ones. The sensors use the method of continuous proportional conversion, transforming vacuum pressure into a linear electrical current (voltage) signal. This allows for precise monitoring of vacuum pressure in a wide temperature range, from -55°C to +350°C.


It's important to note that all pressure sensors measure the difference between two pressures acting on the measuring diaphragm of the transmitter. In the case of manometric vacuum sensors, the Courant DR membrane element calculates the pressure (vacuum) of the controlled medium in relation to atmospheric pressure. These sensors have an explicit input for the controlled medium, such as a nozzle, and a hole or special channel (e.g. in a cable) that connects with atmospheric pressure or a cavity with a reference pressure equal to atmospheric pressure.

The Courant DR vacuum pressure sensors have an impressive upper pressure range of -0.16 kPa to -100 kPa and come with a range of permissible error options, including 0.10%, 0.15%, 0.25%, 0.50%, and 1.00%. These sensors are designed to withstand an impressive 150% overload and offer an array of output signal options, including voltage signals from 0 to 10V, 0 to 5V, 0.5 to 4.5V, and 1 to 5V in a 3-wire line and current signals of 4 to 20 mA in a 2-wire line, 0 to 5 mA, and 0 to 20 mA in a 3-wire line, and 4 to 20 mA, 20 to 4 mA, 0 to 5 mA, 5 to 0 mA, 0 to 20 mA, and 20 to 0 mA in a 4-wire line. The sensors require a power supply of 12 to 36 V and are designed to be resistant to a variety of weather conditions, with a temperature range from -55 to +90 °C and a storage temperature range of -60 to +125 °C.

The sensors are housed in shells with various degrees of protection from dust and moisture, ranging from IP54 to IP68, in accordance with GOST 14254-96. The sensors can be connected electrically using connectors such as 2RMG14, 2PM14, PC4, PC7, PC10, SNTs23, SNTS154, SNTS 293, ONTs14, DIN43650A, or DIN4365C, and a cable gland including 1m cable for IP67 is also available. The sensors can be connected to the pressure take-off line using threaded fittings such as M8x1, M10x1, M12x1, M12x1.25, M12x1.5, M14x1.25, M14x1.5, M16x1.5, M18x1.5, M20x1.5, G1/2", G1/4", and K1/4".

The Courant DR vacuum pressure sensors have a static overload capacity of up to 6 times, and the dynamic overload capacity (with water hammer) is up to 10 times, with the ability to increase this capacity to even higher levels on special order.
